What I'm Up To

I casually heard a friend mention "shoebox" tape recorders today, and I drew a blank. I've never heard that phrase before.

Trying to stay upbeat.

Here’s another reminder that we are having a Zoom Watch Party, where we watch Max Headroom and hang out. For us on the West Coast, it’s “Early” entertainment for a Friday Night. This is, of course, in anticipation of the new episode that’s dropping on Sunday. If you want to watch the show with us first before we talk about it, this has proven in the past to be a lot of fun.

We’re having another ZOOM Party! Join us as we watch an episode of Max Headroom, and hang out in the network node where the lines between entertainment, war journalism, terrorism and performance all intersect at the point where an up-and-coming reporter is injured in the field, and in response we get… and Airwolf episode? All this, and more, this Friday! Join us.

Corvallis friends: I’m sitting in a grassy, shaded spot outside the Vet Teaching Hospital, waiting for a friend. I might be here as long as an hour, reading and enjoying the weather. Maybe you are near, and can say hello?

Fingers crossed.

“And the pants were still there…”

Just returned from a long sojourn into the forest, for an extended Washington Weekend, with friends and family. Sort of a whirlwind. I’ll need to take another day off before I’m ready for the real world. But in the meantime… there are cats to help me settle.
