If you are the kind of guy who likes loud, rock music, and enjoys turning it UP a little when you listen, then I have an hour of music for you. It’s a nearly-all-vinyl show, with oldies like X the official band page!, Minutemen & The Dead Milkmen, new stuff by Xiphoid Process, new-ish stuff by /root_DIR & JJCnV, a block of Lookout bands (Screeching Weasel, The Mr. T Experience, Crimpshrine), two LPs purchased as gifts by my wife (The Rats & Rich Kids on LSD) and fun stuff by The Dickies, The Dils, and even a pair of requests. (Thanks Miss Rikki & John Barrington Jones!) Check it out. 19 hits in 60 minutes. Pretty good for a Wednesday Night. Available for stream or download.

I need to remember that it is never about me. It’s almost never about me. Everyone brings every moment of their entire life to bear on each new moment. We are experiencing the world each from our unique perspectives. Just smile and try to make them feel comfortable.
It’s almost never about me.

41 years without a successful mustache.
The kids of today should defend themselves against the 70’s
It’s not reality,
just someone else’s sentimentality.
Look what it did to us.

What turns ME on.
Three trips to the dentist in one week means I get a pesto bacon cheese pizza and watch @midnight with my wife.
And drink a gallon of bourbon.

New episode of Geekly-Update just appeared for your enjoyment. Max Marbles talks about the Salem Type-In 2016, Jessica Ramey talks about The Repair Faire, and a number of tangents and digressions along the way. Available for stream or download! Enjoy.

devils/club setting up, and getting ready to go live on Mid-Valley Mutations, at 10 PM on KMUZ. Tune in!
I suddenly got really sad that I’m not going to this.
The cat just gave me a dead mouse.
Between that and the dentist’s appointment, I’m feeling far too suburban today.
I’d start drinking, but that would just reinforce things more.
Saw my first Trump Yard Sign today. I couldn’t believe it, until I Googled; apparently, this really is part of the campaign.
Sigh.
I cleaned up a bunch of files that were unsorted on one of my external drives.
Kittens McTavish. I need to do this way more often.
And: why are there 500 folders titled “To Be Sorted” with a million random useless files in them?
Me from the past is so lazy. Someone should have kicked him into gear.
This is the way the world ends. Not with a whimper, but with a distracted ding.
I guess I’ll just leave, travel to a land merely populated by natives, subjugate them and take over, form my own constitutional democracy, and run it into the ground slowly over 200 years.
Later, suckers.
Hot damn I miss this fuckin’ town. I wish I didn’t have to leave.
Okay, it’s my last night in PDX metro for a while.
Let me know if you wanna help me make it count.
No one has ever said to me, “You know, I’m 100% proficient when it comes to remembering faces and names.”
Recording some tunes with Xiphoid Process.
Three songs: completely tracked.
Three songs: in various stages of being almost done.
Not bad, if I do say so myself.
Here’s a quick run-down of my appearance on Hello Cruel World, where I helped John do the set up and hosting for The Moonshine, who play a few songs and talk about their career. There’s a handful of raw video clips too, but this one just sounds good. Available for stream or download. Enjoy!

Yeah yeah yeah yeah.
About to go live at XRAY.FM with Hello Cruel World with John Barrington Jones and The Moonshine!
Breakfast.
Here’s a fun game:
Unfollow everyone on here, but remain friends with them.
This includes all pages and things you’ve “liked,” too.
Exit app, put phone away.
Now, when you remember someone you want to read about on here, make a point to follow them.
Only add back the people and pages you want to read.
Now, having done that: how do you feel about your timeline?
“There will be a short delay as we wait for the train to arrive.” Anyone wanna keep me entertained for a spell?
